About
comms4.com is the consulting business of Paul Williams. It was founded to provide quality writing and marketing services to the diverse and ever-growing business community of Perth, Western Australia.
Williams has progressed his career from London through Hong Kong and, now, in Australia. In London, he started as an ACA, involved with many clients as businesses computerised with the first generation of personal computers. His clients included those in manufacturing, retail, design, show business, property development, hospitality and numerous service sectors. He then moved into the advertisng industry as an internal management consultant and auditor, travelling throughout Europe and Asia-Pacific reviewing and advising on the operations of advertising agencies.
Despite starting with financials and systems, Williams was always the writer, so in the early 1990s he jumped the fence and moved to Hong Kong, taking up freelance journalism and public relations consultancy. After several years as a successful client account manager, specialising in the high-tech sector, he founded his own agency to help launch new dotcom Internet ventures.
During his time in Hong Kong, his clients included Bay Networks, CompuServe, Digital Equipment, EDS, Exide Electronics, Global Knowledge Network (ex-Digital Learning Services), Hewlett-Packard, Hongkong Telecom, Intersolv, Microsoft, Motorola AirCommunications, Origin (Philips), Platinum Financial Software, Powersoft, QAD, Reed Exhibitions (Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Asia Expo), SAS Institute, SCALA, Seagate Technology, Sybase and Xilinx.
In 2002, he moved his family to Perth, taking up positions with several local software companies looking after their marketing operations. Seeing the need for high-quality business editorial services and boutique marketing consultancy in a market that is small, yet dynamic, he founded comms4.com in 2009. |
